Basketball Recap: Argonia Extends Winning Streak to Three

Argonia hadn't done well against Caldwell recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Raiders came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bluejays, sneaking past 47-44. The Raiders' victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Argonia got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Corben Koehler out in front who went 7-for-14 to rack up 14 points in addition to six boards and three steals. Koehler is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least three every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Carson Vineyard, who posted seven points along with ten assists and eight rebounds.

Argonia was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Caldwell only posted eight.

When it comes to explaining why Caldwell lost, don't look at Mak Blosser. Despite the final result, he put up 16 points in addition to seven boards and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Boone, who earned seven points.

Argonia's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Caldwell, they dropped their record down to 0-2 with the loss, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Argonia will face off against Norwich at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Caldwell, they will take on Udall at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
