Basketball Recap: Indian Land Takes a Loss

Indian Land was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 62-23 loss at the hands of the Clover Blue Eagles. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-9.

Despite the defeat, Indian Land had strong showings from Katilyn Knoll, who posted nine points in addition to seven boards and three steals, and Charlotte Kemp, who put up four points and six steals. That's the most steals Kemp has posted since back in January of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Clover to victory, but perhaps none more so than Samara Lucas, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds. Lucas is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games she's played. Another player making a difference was Nevaeh Williams, who went 6 of 9 on her way to 14 points and three steals.

Indian Land's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Clover, they pushed their record up to 14-2 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home.

Indian Land will welcome Fort Mill at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Clover, they will venture away from home to face off against Nation Ford at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Clover is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.2 points per game this season.
