Basketball Game Preview: Tri-State Christian Crusaders vs. Rising Sun Tigers

The Tri-State Christian Crusaders and the Rising Sun Tigers will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Tri-State Christian will be strutting in after a victory while Rising Sun will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Thursday, Tri-State Christian blew past West Nottingham, posting a 55-22 win. That 33 point margin sets a new team best for the Crusaders this season.

Tri-State Christian found their leader in sophomore Anderson Scarbro, who posted eight points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Riley Newton, who had seven points.

Meanwhile, Rising Sun ended up a good deal behind North East on Thursday and lost 54-35.

Rising Sun's loss was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.8 points per game. As for Tri-State Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

Everything came up roses for Tri-State Christian against Rising Sun in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, as the squad secured a 71-33 win. Does Tri-State Christian have another victory up their sleeve, or will Rising Sun turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
