Volleyball Recap: Omro Takes a Loss

Omro was the 2-1 winner over Markesan when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Foxes fell just short of the Hornets by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Foxes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Addison Larsen paced Omro's offense, picking up seven kills. Larsen got some help from Reagan Reiter and her seven assists. Reiter also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Kira Button, each putting up two.

Greylyn Plath was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had nine digs and one assist. Shiloh Jackowski also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Omro's defeat dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Markesan, they moved to 4-15 with that win, which also ended their three-match losing streak.

Omro has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Campbellsport on the 25th. As for Markesan, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Columbus on the 20th.
