Softball Recap: Marion Comes Up Short

Marion managed to slip by Valley View the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Patriots lost 16-4 to the Blazers on Tuesday. The Patriots were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Blazers earlier this season, when they won 9-7.

Marion's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-7. As for Valley View, their victory was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marion will square off against Senatobia at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Valley View, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Riverside at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
