Basketball Recap: Nation Ford Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Nation Ford took a 36-point defeat the last time they faced off against Woodmont, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Falcons skirted past the Wildcats 66-64. That's two games straight that the Falcons have won by exactly two points.

Nation Ford's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chase Walters, who shot 46% from the field on his way to 18 points. What's more, Walters also posted a 56% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was AJ Cureton, who posted 18 points and five rebounds.

The victory (which was Nation Ford's third in a row) raised their record to 3-0. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 62.3 points this season. As for Woodmont, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Coming up, Nation Ford is headed away from home for the first time to take on Charlotte Latin at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Falcons will be up against the Hawks' rather soft defense (which has allowed 56.75 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Woodmont, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Spartanburg at 7:45 p.m. on the 3rd.
