Volleyball Recap: Pilgrim Takes a Loss

Pilgrim was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Cumberland Clippers, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Patriots of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-19, 25-12.

Among those leading the charge was Mia Hamel, who had 12 digs and three aces. Hamel is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 12 every time she's taken the court this season.

Pilgrim's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Cumberland, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-2.

Looking ahead, Pilgrim will welcome Barrington at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Cumberland, they will venture away from home to face off against Classical at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
