The Hamilton Emerald Knights will square off against the McGraw Eagles at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hamilton is coming into the match hot, having won their last nine games.
Hamilton is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They never let Sackets Harbor Central get on the board and left with a 17-0 win. Considering the Emerald Knights have won eight contests by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Ellie Freeth made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 16 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two triples. That's the most triples she has posted since back in May of 2024.
In other batting news, Hamilton got a massive performance out of Adriana Catania, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, one triple, and one run. That's the most RBI Catania has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexis LaFrance, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs and two RBI.
Hamilton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .545. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, McGraw has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.59 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit last Tuesday. They took an 11-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of Stockbridge Valley. The Eagles' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
McGraw saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Remington Stull, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. Another was Addisyn Rolewicz, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
Hamilton's victory bumped their record up to 15-2. As for McGraw, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 13-4.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Saturday as neither team is afraid to steal. Hamilton has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.9 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like McGraw struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Hamilton came out on top in a nail-biter against McGraw when the teams last played on May 12th, sneaking past 2-1. Do the Emerald Knights have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
