Football Recap: Cedar Creek Comes Up Short

Cedar Creek fell victim to A&M Consolidated and their airtight defense on Friday. They were beaten by the Tigers 49-0. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 898th, while the Tigers are ranked 48th).

It was another big night for Camron Roston, who rushed for 236 yards and three TDs on only 12 carries for A&M Consolidated. Those 236 rushing yards gave Roston a new career-high. Darius Roberts got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Cedar Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for A&M Consolidated, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-2.

Cedar Creek has already played their next game, a 35-28 win against Lehman on the 30th. As for A&M Consolidated, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 45-13 victory against Hays on the 31st.
