Game recap: Summit Academy takes down American Leadership Academy

SPANISH FORK, Utah - Summit Academy (Bluffdale, Utah) kept up a steady attack all game long to beat American Leadership Academy (Spanish Fork, Utah), 41-13, on Saturday.

After taking the lead on a touchdown pass by Hagan Hines to Steven Harp in the first quarter, Summit Academy led 20-0 at the half.

SA grew its lead to 34 points entering the fourth quarter. The Bluffdale school scored two times in the third, including once on a Joe Denos touchdown run.

Coming into the game Summit Academy had allowed 25.9 points per game this year. A defensively strong SA kept the Eagles below the 17.0 points it had been averaging per game.

The victory was a step in the right direction for the Bluffdale school, which was coming off a 7-6 defeat at the hands of Grand County in its previous game. The loss was the fourth in a row for American Leadership Academy.
