Softball Recap: Chaney Comes Up Short

Chaney lost to Ursuline back in March and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Cowboys came up short against the Fighting Irish, falling 12-1. The Cowboys have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Chaney saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Liberty Ross, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one double. That double marked the first that Ross has hit this season.

Chaney's record now sits at 3-8. As for Ursuline, their win bumped their record up to 10-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chaney will welcome Badger at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cowboys' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Braves have averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season. As for Ursuline, they will be playing at home against Harding at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
