After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Northside, Yates was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Washington Eagles, sneaking past 22-21. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Lions considering their one-run performance the game before.

Yates has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.0 runs over those games. As for Washington, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.

Coming up, Yates will host Furr at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Washington does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
