Soccer Recap: Independence Academy's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

The Independence Academy Lions didn't have quite enough to beat the Stewarts Creek Red Hawks on Thursday and fell 4-3. The loss put an end to Independence Academy's undefeated start to the season.

Luis Contreras Vargas and Tristan Ramirez Moreno scored all three of Independence Academy's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 13 goals.

Having lost for the first time this season, Independence Academy fell to 3-1. As for Stewarts Creek, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Coming up, Independence Academy will challenge Lead Southeast at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Stewarts Creek, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Wilson Central at 7:00 p.m. on April 8.
