Softball Game Preview: East Henderson Eagles vs. Polk County Wolverines

The East Henderson Eagles will head out to face off against the Polk County Wolverines at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. East Henderson has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since the 1st.

East Henderson lost 15-8 to North Henderson on Tuesday.

Malea Bailey was cooking despite her team's loss, going 4-for-5 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Those four stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Kelsey Barnwell was another key player, scoring a run and stealing three bases while getting on base in three of her six plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Polk County played in-conference for the first time on Tuesday and they got just the result they were looking for. They walked away with a 7-4 win over Hendersonville. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wolverines.

East Henderson's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Polk County, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

East Henderson might still be hurting after the 13-2 loss they got from Polk County in their previous matchup on March 1st. Can East Henderson avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
