It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Peoria can now relate to. They fell just short of the Manual Rams by a score of 10-8 on Monday. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rams apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September.
A big part of Manual's victory came down to the chemistry between Sincere Wesley and her top target Breyasia Grayson. Wesley threw for 112 yards and a touchdown on only five passes while Grayson picked up 100 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Peoria is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6. As for Manual, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-7.
Peoria does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Manual, their road trip will continue as they head out to face Belleville East at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Belleville East is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 26.9 points per game this season.
