Softball Recap: Jamestown Takes a Loss

Jamestown easily dispatched Hampton last Monday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Eagles fell just short of the Warhill Lions by a score of 3-1 on Wednesday. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Eagles couldn't push the score so high this time.

Jamestown's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Warhill, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 6-0.

Jamestown will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bruton at 4:30 p.m. on the 16th. As for Warhill, they will square off against Poquoson at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Islanders' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Lions' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
