Basketball Recap: South Border co-op [Wishek/Ashley] Mustangs vs. North Central Thunder
South Border co-op [Wishek/Ashley] was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 64-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the North Central Thunder. The Mustangs were probably out for revenge after losing 49-33 to them when the teams met back in December of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.
North Central's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ella Batie led the charge by dropping a double-double on 29 points and 11 boards. With that strong performance, Batie is now averaging an impressive 8.4 boards per game. Amree Vander Vorst was another key player, putting up 20 points.
South Border co-op [Wishek/Ashley]'s defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for North Central, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
