Softball Recap: Highland Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Highland can now relate to. They came up short against the Licking Valley Panthers on Thursday, falling 10-0. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Fighting Scots were not able to get on the board.

Highland saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Saylor Squires, who went 1-for-2 with one triple.

Highland's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-10. As for Licking Valley, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 21-4.

Highland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Licking Valley, they have already played their next game, a 4-2 win against River Valley on the 24th.
