Sunrise Mountain had to endure a seven-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. Everything went their way against the Valley Vikings on Wednesday as they made off with a 27-14 win. The matchup marked the Miners' most dominant victory of the season.

Sunrise Mountain's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 3-11. As for Valley, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-14.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Sunrise Mountain is set to face off against their familiar foe Canyon Springs at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The Miners are on a three-game streak of home losses, and the Pioneers an eight-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck. Valley will take on rival The Meadows School at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
