Baseball Recap: Gavin Cramer Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Steelton-Highspire

Fairfield's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They never let the Steelton-Highspire Steamrollers get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Steamrollers: they've now won six in a row.

Jayden Bell was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over four innings pitched. He also allowed no hits, which is notable because Fairfield is 2-1 when he allows at most two hits, but 3-15-1 otherwise. Bell was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Fairfield got a massive performance out of Gavin Cramer, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Aden Frank was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

Fairfield's victory bumped their record up to 5-16-1. As for Steelton-Highspire, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-16.
