Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Maurepas, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy Swamp Owls were the clear victor by a 15-5 margin over the Maurepas Wolves on Friday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Swamp Owls considering their two-run performance the matchup before.

Danica Doerer made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching seven innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits. Doerer was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.

In other batting news, Liza Biancato was a standout: she went 3-for-5 with five stolen bases, four RBI, and one run. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in March of 2024. Brinley BMuller was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing Three bases. while getting on base in five of her six plate appearances.

Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Maurepas, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy will host Academy of Our Lady at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Maurepas, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pine at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
