Volleyball Recap: Emerson Berkes Key Part of Team Effort in Panthers Win

There's no place like home for Bartlett, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Germantown Red Devils on Tuesday as they made off with a 3-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Panthers also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Bartlett was: they took every set by at least 25 points. The final score came out to 25-0, 25-0, 25-0.

Bartlett's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Emerson Berkes led the charge by getting eight digs and five aces. What's more, Berkes racked up 26 assists, the most she's had since back in August. The team also got some help courtesy of Zadie Cress, who had six digs, five kills, and five aces.

Bartlett has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-20 record this season. As for Germantown, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Bartlett will head out to take on Lakeland Preparatory at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Germantown, they will venture away from home to square off against Collierville at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
