Basketball Recap: Northside - Jacksonville Comes Up Short

Northside - Jacksonville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 51-34 to the New Bern Bears. The Monarchs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bears earlier this season, when they won 37-33.

Despite the loss, Northside - Jacksonville still got an impressive performance from Madyson Wills, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds. That was a full 35.3% of Northside - Jacksonville's points, marking the fifth time in a row she's posted more than a third of the team's points.

Even though they lost, Northside - Jacksonville smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive rebounds in three consecutive games.
