Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Spring Creek). They were the clear victor by an 80-54 margin over the Churchill County Greenwave on Saturday. The Spartans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 22 points or more this season.

Spring Creek's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Scott Bylund led the charge by going 6 for 11 on his way to 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Snowdon Bear Williams, who went 8 of 11 en route to 17 points and five rebounds.

Spring Creek was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Churchill County only racked up 12 assists.

Several Greenwave players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Calin Anderson, who went 6 for 12 on his way to 15 points. Another player making a difference was Barry Mitchell, who posted nine points and five boards.

Spring Creek's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-5. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.5 points per game. As for Churchill County, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-10 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Spring Creek will square off against Dayton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Dayton will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Spring Creek surely won't give up without a fight. As for Churchill County, they will venture away from home to take on Lowry at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Churchill County is facing Lowry at the right time seeing as Lowry is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
