Basketball Game Preview: Paris Greyhounds vs. Montgomery County Indians

The Paris Greyhounds will head out to take on the Montgomery County Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Paris is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Bourbon County just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Saturday. They lost 78-53 to the Colonels. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Greyhounds have suffered against the Colonels since December 13, 2019.

Meanwhile, Montgomery County suffered their biggest defeat since February 27, 2024 on Thursday. They came up short against George Rogers Clark, falling 73-47. The Indians were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-18.

Paris will need focus on slowing down Tyce Jarvis, one of several Montgomery County players who made an impact when they last played. He almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds. Jarvis has been hot recently, having posted eight or more boards the last three times he's played. Andrew Terry was another key player, putting up ten points along with eight rebounds and five assists.

Paris now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Montgomery County, their loss dropped their record down to 10-8.

Paris lost to Montgomery County on the road by a decisive 60-46 margin when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Can Paris avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
