Soccer Game Preview: Carroll vs. Gregory-Portland

Carroll hasn't had much luck against Gregory-Portland recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Carroll duke it out with the Gregory-Portland at 8:00 p.m.

Carroll is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to five goals on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Flour Bluff on Friday. They came up short against the Hornets, falling 7-0.

Meanwhile, Gregory-Portland entered their tilt with Corpus Christi Moody on Friday with nine consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with ten. Their defense stepped up to hand the Trojans a 13-0 shutout. Considering the Wildcats have won 12 games by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Gregory-Portland's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-2. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those five contests. As for Carroll, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.
