Basketball Recap: Red Bank Takes a Loss

Red Bank lost against Tyner Academy back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Red Bank Lions lost to the Tyner Academy Rams on the road by a 56-39 margin.

Despite the loss, Red Bank still got an impressive performance from Kobey Jones, who posted 16 points and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylen Rice, who scored nine points and five rebounds.

Even though they lost, Red Bank smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in 13 consecutive matchups.

Red Bank's defeat dropped their record down to 21-6. As for Tyner Academy, their win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-6.

Red Bank didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 56-54 loss against East Ridge on the 11th. As for Tyner Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 68-54 victory against Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences on the 14th.
