Football Recap: Friday's Loss Ends East's Winning Streak

After flying high against Shaw last Friday, East came back down to earth. East took an 18-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Howland Tigers on Friday. East was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Howland apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

The defeat snapped East's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-2 record. As for Howland, their victory ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. East will take on Beaver Local at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Howland, they will square off against Hubbard at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles' defense has only allowed 15 points per game this season, so the Tigers' offense will have their work cut out for them.
