The Eustis Panthers will head out to take on the Key West Conchs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Eustis is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
Last Friday, it was close, but Eustis sidestepped The Villages Charter for a 3-2 victory. The three-run effort marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Carson Roden spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on six hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Emmy Luke, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. Skyler Scott also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous three contests, Key West brought some dynamite into their most recent match. They put the hurt on Ransom Everglades with a sharp 15-0 win on Saturday. With that victory, the Conchs brought their scoring average up to 7.2 runs per game.
Ryleigh Harnish looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
At the plate, Skye Sterling was excellent, scoring two runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloe Kongos, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.
Key West was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .615. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Eustis' win was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0. As for Key West, their record now sits at 4-2.
Eustis' speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's game. Eustis has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.6 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Key West, though, as they've been averaging only 1 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Eustis continue to outrun the ball?
Eustis took their victory against Key West in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 9-2. Will Eustis repeat their success, or does Key West have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
