Softball Game Preview: Carver Birmingham Rams vs. Ramsay Rams

For the second straight game, Carver Birmingham will face off against Ramsay. Carver Birmingham will head out to square off against Ramsay at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Carver Birmingham has given up an average of 13.2 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Carver Birmingham fell victim to Ramsay and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 22-0 to Ramsay. Carver Birmingham has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

For Ramsay's part, Cayden Strong made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, Strong posted four strikeouts, the most she's had since back in February of 2024. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two stolen bases.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Madison Bracy, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, seven RBI, and two triples. That home run was her first of the season. Keleiloa Thomas was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.

Ramsay was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .800. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .435 or higher in three consecutive matchups.

Ramsay's record now sits at 8-9. As for Carver Birmingham, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9.
