Volleyball Recap: Winter Springs Has No Trouble Against Matanzas + How To Watch

It's playoff time, and Winter Springs had no trouble coming through when it counted. Everything went their way against the Matanzas Pirates on Monday as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bears.

The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-13, 25-18.

Amery Carpenter paced Winter Springs' offense, picking up 14 kills. Carpenter got some help from Hailey Shorkey and her 26 assists. Lianna Pena and Katy Vice kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

Winter Springs' win bumped their record up to 14-11. As for Matanzas, they dropped their record down to 9-11 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Winter Springs wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Lake Howell on the 14th. Matanzas does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
