Volleyball Preview: Round Mountain Knights vs. Tonopah Muckers

After both having extra time off, the Round Mountain Knights and the Tonopah Muckers will dust off their jerseys to square off against one another at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Round Mountain will be looking to extend their current 17-game winning streak.

Last Friday, Round Mountain got the win against Carlin by a conclusive 3-0.

While Round Mountain won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-12, 25-22.

Round Mountain's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Laycii Thibodeaux, who had 15 digs, and Hallee Larsen, who had 11 digs, five kills, two blocks, and two aces. She wasn't the only good server: Tonopah was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in six consecutive games.

Round Mountain's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-3. As for Tonopah, their win bumped their record up to 4-10.
