Basketball Recap: CHESS Christian Extends Winning Streak to Six

CHESS Christian waltzed into their match on Tuesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They came out on top against Spring Valley Academy by a score of 57-49. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 58-52 win back in January.

Leading CHESS Christian to victory were Chase Meester and Josh Huff. Meester en route to 24 points, while Huff dropped a double-double with 16 points and 14 boards. The game was Meester's fifth in a row with at least 18 points. Silas Kempe was another key player, putting up six points along with eight rebounds and six steals.

CHESS Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive rebounds in three consecutive contests.

CHESS Christian's victory bumped their record up to 20-2. As for Spring Valley Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.

As of now, neither CHESS Christian nor Spring Valley Academy have any future games scheduled.
