Baseball Recap: Crestview Knights vs. Bath Wildcats
Crestview extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 11 on Wednesday, dropping them down to 0-6. They came up short against the Bath Wildcats, falling 10-2. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.
As for Bath, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games.
For Bath's part, Braylon Leach spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on six hits.
On the hitting side, Jaden Miller was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three stolen bases, and three runs. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two). Peyton Liles was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Crestview will challenge Spencerville at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bath, they will take on Fort Jennings at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
