Volleyball Game Preview: Thomas Sumter Academy Generals vs. Calhoun Academy Cavaliers

The Thomas Sumter Academy Generals will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against the Calhoun Academy Cavaliers at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Calhoun Academy took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Thomas Sumter Academy, who comes in off a win.

Back in August, Thomas Sumter Academy made easy work of Lakewood and carried off a 3-0 win.

Meanwhile, Calhoun Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to Patrick Henry Academy.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-7, 25-11.

Thomas Sumter Academy's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Calhoun Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9.

Thomas Sumter Academy took their win against Calhoun Academy in their previous matchup back in October of 2019 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Generals since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
