Basketball Recap: Shane Emanuel's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Tenor over Chesterton Academy

If Tenor was riding high fresh off their 65-37 takedown of Cristo Rey last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Tenor fell to Chesterton Academy 59-53. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Tenor this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 79-75 back in December of 2024.

Tenor's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Shane Emanuel, who posted 12 points in addition to seven rebounds and six steals. Emanuel is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last 11 games he's played. Anton Bounds was another key player, dropping a double-double on ten points and 11 boards.

Tenor's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Chesterton Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 12-7.

Tenor has already played their next game, a 73-35 win against Hmong American Peace Academy on the 6th. As for Chesterton Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 59-53 victory against Veritas/Tenor on the 4th.
