Glen Iris Baptist came tearing into Friday's contest with five straight wins dating back to last season (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.8 points), and they left with even more momentum. They came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured a 51-46 W against the East Central HomeSchool Patriots. This was payback for the Swordsmen, who suffered an 87-83 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Despite the loss, East Central HomeSchool still got an impressive performance from Jonas Sinclair-Lee, who shot 40% from the field to rack up 22 points and four steals. William Rea was another key player, putting up eight points.

Glen Iris Baptist's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for East Central HomeSchool, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
