Soccer Recap: IC Catholic Prep Takes a Loss

IC Catholic Prep managed to keep up with Providence Catholic until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Knights lost 3-0 to the Celtics. While losing is never fun, IC Catholic Prep can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 256th, while Providence Catholic are ranked 34th).

IC Catholic Prep is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-6-1. As for Providence Catholic, they pushed their record up to 11-0 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. IC Catholic Prep will head out to square off against Carmel at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Providence Catholic, they will venture away from home to take on Montini Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
