Football Game Preview: Flandreau Fliers vs. Sioux Valley Cossacks

Flandreau is 0-10 against Sioux Valley since September of 2016 but things could change on Friday. The Fliers will head out on the road to face off against the Cossacks at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, Flandreau came up short against McCook Central/Montrose and fell 19-12.

Meanwhile, Sioux Valley was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 46-40 to Deuel. While the Cossacks had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Cardinals 20-14.

Sioux Valley now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Flandreau, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Flandreau ended up a good deal behind Sioux Valley in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, losing 31-13. Can the Fliers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
