Volleyball Recap: Marmion Takes a Loss

Marmion extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping their season record down to 4-12 in the process. They fell 2-0 to the Hononegah Indians. If the Cadets were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Indians when the teams met back in March of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Hononegah, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. The win was familiar territory for they, who have now won ten games in a row.

Carter Freedlund was the offensive standout of the match as he had nine kills, three digs, and two aces. Alex Alberstett was another key player, getting three digs and three aces.

Coincidentally, Marmion and Hononegah will both be playing Argo the next time they take the court. The Cadets will head out to face the Argonauts at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Indians will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
