Baseball Recap: Mott Comes Up Short

Utica Ford hit Mott with a seven-run second inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Corsairs came up short against the Falcons, falling 12-2. The Corsairs have struggled against the Falcons recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Hunter Pozzi-Mondeau was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with three stolen bases and one run. Another player making a difference was Kyle Wingate, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one RBI.

Mott's loss dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Utica Ford, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-10.
