Softball Recap: Goshen Comes Up Short

Goshen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 19-3 to the Brantley Bulldogs. The Eagles were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bulldogs from their previous meeting back in April of 2019.

Goshen's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Brantley, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 20-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Goshen will square off against Highland Home at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Brantley, they will venture away from home to challenge Pike Liberal Arts at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Patriots have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.62 runs per game on average), something the Bulldogs will no doubt try to take advantage of.
