Soccer Recap: Cabrillo Gets Big Victory over Higher-Ranked Woodrow Wilson

Cabrillo's game on Friday was close up to the half, which is when they kicked things up a notch. Their defense stepped up to hand the Woodrow Wilson Bruins a 3-0 shutout. The win was all the more spectacular given the Jaguars' disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 418th, while the Bruins are ranked 151st).

Cabrillo's victory bumped their record up to 8-6-5. As for Woodrow Wilson, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 8-6-5.

Cabrillo does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Woodrow Wilson, they will be playing at home against Millikan at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Millikan will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Woodrow Wilson surely won't give up without a fight.
