Baseball Recap: Juanita Picks Up Fourth Straight Win at Home

After low-scoring totals in their previous three contest, Juanita brought some dynamite into their most recent matchup. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Skyline Spartans an 11-0 shutout on Monday. The Ravens not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since April 3, 2024 (when they won 21-1).

Josh Harris looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Gabe Pham, who went 2-for-3 with two triples, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Lincoln Cohen was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Juanita always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Skyline only posted an OBP of .263.

Juanita pushed their record up to 14-10 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Skyline, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-14 record this season.
