Baseball Recap: Indian Trail Takes a Loss

Saturday just wasn't the day for Indian Trail's offense. They fell 5-0 to the Oak Creek Knights on Saturday. The Hawks were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Knights earlier this season, when they won 10-3.

Briar Thoe was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed 4.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. What's more, he gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, Indian Trail saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brad Filippis, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Indian Trail's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Oak Creek, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Indian Trail beat the Knights by a score of 10-3 later that day.
