While Edison's victory against Spencer-Van Etten wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Spartans sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 win over the Panthers on Monday. The Spartans haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Edison's win bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Spencer-Van Etten, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-3.

Coming up, Spencer-Van Etten will host Windsor Central at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Black Knights will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight. Edison will be paying especially close attention to Spencer-Van Etten's contest: after Spencer-Van Etten faces off against Watkins Glen, they'll take on Edison again at 4:45 p.m. on Monday.
