Softball Recap: Boston English Comes Up Short

Boston English might've scored the first runs on Monday, but it was Excel/Burke who claimed the real prize. The Eagles fell just short of Excel/Burke by a score of 16-15. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Excel/Burke this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-3 on Monday.

Angelis Valentin Cruz stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she went 2-for-4 with five stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Shelsea Jimenez was another key player, going 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.

Boston English's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Excel/Burke, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Boston English has already played their next game, a 23-8 win against Fenway on the 22nd. Excel/Burke does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
