Cliff typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Magdalena proved too difficult a challenge. They snuck past the Cliff Cowboys/Cowgirls with a 40-34 win. The victory was familiar territory for the Steers, who have now won three matches in a row.

Magdalena's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Elia Cleveland, who went 6-for-11 to rack up 14 points and three steals. Cleveland has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jema Ganadonegro, who posted seven points in addition to eight boards and five assists.

Magdalena's win bumped their record up to 19-5. As for Cliff, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-3.

Magdalena didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 52-46 loss against Quemado on the 15th. As for Cliff, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 49-23 victory against Animas on the 18th.
