Recap: Harford Tech Cobras vs. Aberdeen Eagles
While it was all tied up 37-37 at halftime, the Harford Tech Cobras were not quite the Aberdeen Eagles's equal in the second half on Tuesday. Harford Tech took a 73-67 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. Harford Tech has struggled against the Eagles recently, as their game on Tuesday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Aberdeen to victory, but perhaps none more so than DARION PARRIS, who scored 26 points along with eight rebounds and four blocks. PARRIS is crushing the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was JUSTIN FRANKLIN, who scored 20 points along with four steals and two blocks.
Harford Tech's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Aberdeen, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-9.
Harford Tech won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Golden Elks on January 31st. Elkton knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matchups -- so hopefully the Cobras likes a good challenge. As for Aberdeen, they will head out on the road to face off against the Mariners at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Maryland (Joppatowne is ranked 164th, while the Eagles are ranked 182nd).
