Baseball Recap: Central Takes a Loss

Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 10-7 to the Brawley Wildcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Spartans of the 5-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Max Fimbres was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Diego Acuna, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

Central's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Brawley, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 6-9.

While Central had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
